From the Blurb.

When Keri Daniels’ editor finds out she has previous carnal knowledge of reclusive bestselling author Joe Kowalski, she gives Keri a choice: get an interview or get a new job.

Joe’s never forgotten the first girl to break his heart, so he’s intrigued to hear Keri’s back in town—and looking for him. Despite his intense need for privacy, he’ll grant Keri an interview if it means a chance to finish what they started in high school.

He proposes an outrageous plan—for every day she survives with his family on their annual camping and four-wheeling trip, Keri can ask one question. Keri agrees; she’s worked too hard to walk away from her career.

But the chemistry between them is still as potent as the bug spray, Joe’s sister is out to avenge his broken heart and Keri hasn’t ridden an ATV since she was ten. Who knew a little blackmail, a whole lot of family and some sizzling romantic interludes could make Keri reconsider the old dream of Keri & Joe 2gether 4ever.

REVIEW: 4 out of 5 Stars

Exclusively Yours is a light, fun contemporary romance and the debut novel in the Kowalski series for author Shannon Stacey.

Keri Daniels and Joe Kowalski were high school sweethearts until Keri decided to up and leave New Hampshire for Los Angeles to pursue a career in journalism which left Joe to nurse a broken heart.

Keri’s boss has wanted the scoop on Joe, who is now a famous Author for some time & when she comes across photo’s of Keri with him during their school years she gives her an ultimatum to either interview & get some dirt on Joe or lose her job. With no choice, she heads back to his hometown to try and get the details her boss so eagerly wants.

Realising the attraction between them is still there, Joe agrees to an interview/question a day in return for Keri spending 14 days with him & his family on their annual holiday. It is also a way for him to seduce her into thinking a relationship with him could still be a possibility.

The build-up to them rekindling their romance was sweet and they were able to communicate what had happened in the past; it was sad to hear of the heartbreak Joe endured and his problem with alcohol as a result; Keri had her reasons for wanting to leave but it seems they were never discussed with Joe.

I really enjoyed the secondary characters; Joe had such a fun family! (although with their own problems). Terry (Joe’s twin) spent most of the book being bitter, bitchy and whiny towards Keri which at times became tiresome – these women were nearly 40 so the grudge they held became monotonous for me. I would have liked to have seen Keri & Terry’s relationship resolved, nothing seemed settled between them to me.

Besides Terry, my only other dislike was the abrupt way the story ended, They got their HEA but it didn’t leave me with a gushy smile as other contemporary romances have.

I am looking forward to reading book 2, Undeniably Yours about Joe’s younger brother Kevin.
