Synopsis. (Goodreads)

The scorching tale of one girl, two brothers and a love triangle…that’s not.

Olivia Townsend is nothing special. She’s just a girl working her way through college so she can return home to help her father run his business. She’s determined not to be the second woman in his life to abandon him, even if it means putting her own life on hold. To Olivia, it’s clear what she must do. Plain and simple. Black and white.

But clear becomes complicated when she meets Cash and Nash Davenport. They’re brothers. Twins.
Cash is everything she’s always wanted in a guy. He’s a dangerous, sexy bad boy who wants her in his bed at any cost. He turns her insides to mush and, with just one kiss, makes her forget why he’s no good for her.

Nash is everything she’s ever needed in a guy. He’s successful, responsible and intensely passionate. But he’s taken. Very taken, by none other than Marissa, Liv’s rich, beautiful cousin. That doesn’t stop Olivia from melting every time he looks at her, though. With just one touch, he makes her forget why they can never be together.

Black and white turns to shades of gray when Olivia discovers the boys are hiding something, something that should make her run as far and as fast as she can. But it’s too late to run. Olivia’s already involved. And in love. With both of them.

Both brothers make her heart tremble. Both brothers set her body on fire.

She wants them both.

And they want her.

How will she ever choose between them?

Review: 4 out of 5 stars

This book is Adult Contemporary Romance - Please be advised that this book is NOT YA friendly, not even in a New Adult category.

Down to You is my first M.Leighton book and definitely won’t be my last! This is going to be such a vague review because there is a HUGE twist that I never saw coming, I was clueless and so surprised which I always enjoy.

Olivia Townsend is a struggling accounting student, working a bar and living with her rich, extremely snobbish cousin Marissa.

In the opening sequence, Olivia meets Cash Davenport; in the most humorous {smexy} way – he is a bar owner and their attraction is instantaneous. The following morning she meets Nash, Marissa’s boyfriend who just happens to be Cash’s identical twin brother, the spark between them is also pretty intense but he is spoken for.

Cash is the gorgeous, cheeky, bike riding bad boy who Olivia knows she should stay away from and Nash is intelligent, charming and everything she wants in a guy; what’s a girl to do when she is attracted to them both? I absolutely adored Olivia but her predicament was a difficult one, these guys each had qualities that were amazing; they were sweet, sexy and charming and they certainly had her all frazzled, the sexual chemistry and smexy scenes were hot! Even better is we get the POV’s from each of the characters which worked really well.

Down to You was such an addictive read, I was drawn to the pages from the very beginning; Ms. Leighton’s writing and the pacing were spot on and the banter between these amazing characters left me giggling on numerous occasions. I loved the engaging plot, the chemistry, heatbreak, twist and the cliffhanger ending has left me needing more.

There were a few minor things which had me stumped but mentioning them will reveal the spoiler so I will continue to mull over them {vague much} – you’ll just have to read this to find out what I mean.

Overall, Down to You is a fun, smexy read that will leave you {drooling} yearning for more of these characters and the story and thank goodness it appears to be the beginning of a series; I am eager to get hold of the next book.

  2. I think we may have felt the same way about Down to You. I really enjoyed it so much, but had some issues w/those details too. I'm really glad you enjoyed this. You should try The Wild Ones. It's my favorite book by Michelle. Great review!
