Waiting on Wednesday #WoW - The Chaos of Stars by Kiersten White

Hi everyone, thank-you so much for stopping by my WoW!

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly meme, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine which spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

My choice for this weeks WoW is The Chaos of Stars by Kiersten White, I really enjoyed Kiersten's Paranormalcy and Mind Games series and I love books about mythology so I'm eager to read this.

The Chaos of Stars
Series: Standalone
Pages: 352
Genre: Young Adult
Publisher: Harper Teen
Release Date: 10TH September 2013
Amazon Pre-order: The Chaos of the Stars

Synopsis. (Goodreads)

Isadora’s family is seriously screwed up.

Of course, as the human daughter of Egyptian gods, that pretty much comes with the territory. She’s also stuck with parents who barely notice her, and a house full of relatives who can’t be bothered to remember her name. After all, they are going to be around forever—and she’s a mere mortal.

Isadora’s sick of living a life where she’s only worthy of a passing glance, and when she has the chance to move to San Diego with her brother, she jumps on it. But Isadora’s quickly finding that a “normal” life comes with plenty of its own epic complications—and that there’s no such thing as a clean break when it comes to family. Much as she wants to leave her past behind, she can’t shake the ominous dreams that foretell destruction for her entire family. When it turns out there may be truth in her nightmares, Isadora has to decide whether she can abandon her divine heritage after all.

What is your WoW for this week?

  1. Love that there will be a setting in San Diego as White and I both live there (I've gotten to meet her a couple times because of that). I always like when stories are set in places I know.

  8. OOH I loved PAranormalcy - haven't gotten to any of the others yet. I seriously am in LOVE with that cover. Usually mythology is a turn off for me, especially the Greek myths but I LOVE Egyptian mythology. I'll be looking for this one! Great pick!
