My WoW for this week is Unbreakable by Kami Garcia, the synopsis sounds so good and I love
Paranormal thrillers so I’m definitely eager to read this one.

Publisher: Little, Brown Books for Young
Readers
Synopsis. (Goodreads)
Supernatural meets The Da Vinci Code in this
action-packed paranormal thriller, the first book in a new series from New York
Times bestselling author Kami Garcia.
I never believed in ghosts. Until one tried to kill me.
When Kennedy Waters finds her mother dead, her world begins to unravel. She doesn’t know that paranormal forces in a much darker world are the ones pulling the strings. Not until identical twins Jared and Lukas Lockhart break into Kennedy’s room and destroy a dangerous spirit sent to kill her. The brothers reveal that her mother was part of an ancient secret society responsible for protecting the world from a vengeful demon — a society whose five members were all murdered on the same night.
Now Kennedy has to take her mother’s place in the Legion if she wants to uncover the truth and stay alive. Along with new Legion members Priest and Alara, the teens race to find the only weapon that might be able to destroy the demon — battling the deadly spirits he controls every step of the way.
Suspense, romance, and the paranormal meet in this chilling urban fantasy, the first book in a new series from Kami Garcia, bestselling coauthor of the Beautiful Creatures novels.

Just the description of this book being "Supernatural meets The Da Vinci Code" is enough to make me want to read this title. Plus, it helps that the book has a fabulous-looking cover!
ReplyDeleteGreat pick, Sharon! :)
I haven't heard of this one yet, but it sounds good. Thanks for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteSharon, you had me at "Supernatural meets The Da Vinci Code" added this to my list!
ReplyDeleteThis is very cool! I'm sure the Supernatural comparison will get a lot of attention. Thanks for sharing, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the sound of this one, it sounds so creepy and good! I wasn't a big fan of Garcia's work in Beautiful Creatures, but hopefully I'll find some luck in her solo novel. Awesome pick this week, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteI'm VERY excited about this one too. I've been seeing a lot of the PR kits being sent out, and I love the fact that it comes with salt and everything, lol!
