Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
This week's Top Ten Tuesday is our All-time Favourite Authors! I found it hard this week because there are so many authors I adore, but listed below are my auto-buys.
1. Karen Marie Moning – I adore KMM & continually try to find a series similar to the Fever series which is my all-time
favourite! They are my go-to books when I am in a slump; Amazing writing, creative world-building - I haven't foung anything that compares plus I love me a bit of
Jericho Barrons.
2. Jennifer L. Armentrout – JLA is a super writing machine! I have read everything written by her to
date and enjoyed them all, super excited for the year ahead and the
books she will be releasing.
3. Katja Millay – Katja has only written the one
book that I know of, The Sea of Tranquility and it was absolutely AMAZING!
Another go-to book when I hit a bookish slump and it is just as great on audio.
4. J.K Rowling – A creative, unique and amazing author; Is there anyone that hasn’t
enjoyed the Harry Potter series? I was a bit late starting on these books but
once I did I devoured them, I’m also a huge fan of the movies.
5. Paula Weston – Paula is an Aussie author and has written the Rephaim series which is
one of my faves, she writes books that keep you thinking about it long after
you have finished reading them; the final book is due to be released in May and
I can’t wait.
6. Ilona Andrews – One of the authors that started my love for UF and Paranormal, I
adore her Kate Daniels series and Burn For Me (Hidden Legacy series) is my #1 top read so far for this year.
7. Ada Adams – I am not a fan of vampires but her Angel Creek series is fabulous!
another series that will be coming to an end {sob} with the release of ReBorn. Ada is also really super lovely!
8. SarahAlderson – Her YA/NA thrillers are fantastic!
My days are usually write-offs when I start on her books.
9. Sarah J Maas – Throne of Glass is amazing and her
newest release A Court of Thorns and Roses blew me away; a brilliant fantasy
writer. Also super excited that she will be touring Australia in November {squee!}
10. Richelle Mead – Every series Richelle has written
has been amazing! The first I read was Vampire Academy followed by Gerogina
Kincaid which is one of my favourites & then Bloodlines – she is a must
read author.
Honourable mentions – Pamela Clare,
Jus Accardo, Ednah Walters, C.C Hunter, Stephanie Perkins, Chloe Neill and Patricia Briggs.
I love Richelle Mead, J.K Rowling, AND Sarah Alderson :) So many great authors you have posted, Thank you for sharing them. <3 Benish | Feminist Reflections
ReplyDeleteI always love it when I read a list and see names unfamiliar to me. Makes we want to head over to Amazon and order some new titles!
ReplyDeleteHere's mine!
OOOh awesome list!! Loooooove JLA! She's on my list too! Richelle Mead is another fave! I keep meaning to try Paula Weston! And Karen Marie Moning is another fave! And of course, Rowling! Always Rowling! Even if it isn't actually said...! ;)
ReplyDeleteHere's my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
I can't believe I forgot JLA!!! I have to get to so many of the authors you picked - Great list!
ReplyDeleteI love your list! So need to read KMM books.

Janhvi @ The Readdicts
Richelle Mead is my #1! And TSoT was sooooo good! Where the hell is her next book?
ReplyDeleteI've yet to read a read a KMM book or IA but they are both on my UF tbr list. Aapprently I'm lazy to type out full words today :)
Love Richelle Mead and Jennifer L. Armentrout! Of course, J.K. Rowling is a must. Haven't heard of a few others. Thanks for explaining your picks. I'll definitely check out the unknowns.
ReplyDeleteA lot of these authors/books are on my TBR mountain chain. I'll get to them someday -- I hope! J.K. Rowling is on my list (and a million others) today. Love HP. I haven't read any of her other books and, truthfully, I don't really plan to. HP is enough for me, although I wouldn't argue if she wrote a spin-off series or two or three or ten ...
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
JK Rowling seems to be on everyone's lists this week although that's hardly a surprise, she was on mine too. Sarah J Maas was on my list too, I can't wait read A Court of Thorns and Roses.
ReplyDeleteYou have some great picks here! The only authors books that I have read from the list are the first two in the HP series (working my way through the third at the moment) and then also Obsidian, but only book one. I liked them all fairly enough but didn't completely fall in love with any. As for the other authors on this list, I have been meaning to try a few by them.
