Question of the week:
Let's step away from besties...What is the worst book that you've ever read and actually finished?
I always try to see the positives when reading any book but when I read this question the first book that instantly popped to mind was 'Breaking Dawn' by Stephenie Meyer; I absolutely loved Twilight, New Moon & Eclipse but Breaking Dawn was a let-down for me with everything from the characters, plot and OTT scenarios.
What to do..

I must admit I stopped this series at New Moon because I couldn't deal with Bella...maybe I'll finish them someday. Thanks for stopping by my Friday Follow!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog :-)
ReplyDeleteI had a love hate relation ship with the Twilight series. Bella irritated me beyond belief, but I had to keep reading them. They all blur together for me.

Hey Sharon! Thanks for the follow. I've been a follower of yours for a while now :) I probably shouldn't open my Breaking Dawn floodgates. Great choice.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.

I didn't hate the first three Twilight books, actually I kind of enjoyed them. Breaking Dawn completely ruined the series for me. Ugh! Excellent choice.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by mine! Hope you have a great weekend.

So true! I enjoyed Twilight and Eclipse but hated Breaking Dawn so so much. What a way to end a, what was then, great series =| Of course, now looking back I don't like ANY of the books, but at the time BD was bad. Can't imagine what I'd think if I read it now!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog :)
Hi - Old follower. I didn't hate BD. I felt it as a bit pat, although I wasn't sure the Cullen family would escape unscathed. Have a great weekend!

Hi, thanks for the follow. New follower here. I liked the Twilight books, but I feel she dropped the ball with Breaking Dawn - from the whole thing with Jacob and the fetus, to the way she introduced all the characters for the big battle against the Old Guard, and then everything became an anti-climax. Like she was on a time limit and didn't have time to develop the plot.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog!

ReplyDeleteI'm going to go out on a limb and say something that might make the YA blogging world gasp. I hated all of the Twilight series. There, I said it, I didn't like it.
Happy Friday!

Hi! The owls are very cute--my daughter got very excited about them. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree that Breaking Dawn was a little (okay a lot) over the top.

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog...returning the follow!
ReplyDeleteI have to agree on BD. I'm not a Twilight fan anyway, and that one just killed it all for me.
Have a great weekend,

Bleh. I hated New Moon. Boys that leave their girls... annoys me to no end.

Hi! Happy Friday! Thanks for stopping by my blog! Old follower here.
ReplyDeleteI actually haven't read Breaking Dawn yet. I was talking about it with my friends yesterday, and they were telling me that I must read it asap. I don't think I will though. I don't feel like reading that book. >.>
How much do I agree with you, too much probably. Seriously, I cannot begin to tell you the legions of hatred and frustration that I had with Breaking Dawn, it's seriously a miracle that I didn't burn the damn book after I finished it. I cannot believe that I spent money, time, and energy on that book and all I got from the whole Twilight fandom was a bunch of whiney ass snively little Jacob/Bella fans who didn't get what they wanted. Grr. Do not want! ;)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, happy hops and I hope you have a fabulous weekend. I am now totally following your adorable blog, since we seem to have some things in common and you seem like an awesome person. I hope I didn't offend you much, with my Jacob/Bella rant, but gah their fans get on my nerves. lol.

Thank you for stopping by my blog, I didn't enjoy Breaking dawn either. Have a great weekend!

Just stopping by to say thanks for stopping by my blog earlier!
ReplyDeleteI never got past the first Twilight book. Made it half-way then gave up. Sooo not my thing. But, I've heard gazillions of complaints about the last book. From what I heard of it, it sounds ridiculous.
Have a happy Friday!
I loved the Twilight series, apart from Breaking Dawn. It was good up until Bella became a vampire and then I thought it started to get dull and predictable. Plus the whole having-a-kid-with-a-dead-vamp seemed way too far fetched - even for a fantasy book!
ReplyDeleteI know a lot of people love the Twilight series, but that whole series could go in my worst reads! It just wasn't for me, Bella got on last nerve!

Suzanne @ Under the Covers
i didn't like Breaking Dawn too :( thanks for dropping by!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the follow! I'd have to say when I first read Breaking Dawn I enjoyed it but then years later explaining the story to my Hubby I had to stop and think...wait..I like that? lol! I'll still be seeing the movie but I'm not sure I'd like the book as much now as I did then! Good pick!
ReplyDeleteI love the Twilight Saga, and I have to say that my fav is definately Twilight. I hope that you didn't start a war! JK Thanks for the visit :)
ReplyDelete{Happy Friday!}

Hopping through. I didn't like BD at first. It wasn't what I wanted. But I've gotten used to it and learned to love what it actually was.
ReplyDeleteMy Hop
Thanks for stopping by. I was also a big fan of the first 3 books in the Twilight Saga. I had to put Breaking Dawn down a few times out of frustration.

@Ramblings From This Chick
I didn't hate Breaking Dawn, but my favorite of the series will always be the first, Twilight. I think my mom would probably agree with you on hating the book though - she read the first three and then was so fed up with Bella's whining and the way she kept leading Jacob on that she refused to read Breaking Dawn!
ReplyDeleteNew follower here! lol A lot of bloggers have been listing Breaking Dawn. It's awesome. I hated that book too.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend! :)

I have to agree with you... Breaking Dawn did let me down a little. Thanks for stopping by my blog, I'm following you back. And I have to say that your blog is beautiful! I love all the colors and the design. Gorgeous.

I admit Breaking Dawn certainly wasn't my favorite of the series. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
ReplyDeleteOld follower hopping by. I love the Twilight series as a whole but I had issues with Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. Didn't hate them but would have prefered some things to be different.

Funny! I actually thought Breaking Dawn was the best out of all of them:) I woke up at nine the morning I started it and read until 2 a.m. to finish it! Hope you had a great weekend and enjoy what's left of it! New follower! Shari (My Neurotic Book Affair)
ReplyDeleteHey there!
ReplyDeleteJust stopping by to say I can sort of agree with you.
It was kinda boring in certain parts of the book :/
