Breaking rules and breaking hearts
Free-spirited Chloe lives life on the edge. Unlike her soon-to-be married sisters, she isn't ready to settle into a quiet life running their family's newly renovated inn. But soon her love of trouble--and trouble with love-draws the attention of the very stern, very sexy sheriff who'd like nothing better than to tame her wild ways.

Suddenly Chloe can't take a misstep without the sheriff hot on her heels. His rugged swagger and his enigmatic smile are enough to make a girl beg to be handcuffed. For the first time, instead of avoiding the law, Chloe dreams of surrender. Can this rebel find a way to keep the peace with the straitlaced sheriff? Or will Chloe's colorful past keep her from a love that lasts . . . and the safe haven she truly wants in a town called Lucky Harbor?

REVIEW: 5 out of 5 stars

Head Over Heels was kindly provided by Netgalley for Forever Publishing.

I have eagerly been awaiting Head Over Heels, the 3rd book in the Lucky Harbor Series; the series revolving around 3 half sisters Tara, Maddie and youngest sister Chloe who were reunited after the death of their mother and now run the Lucky Harbor B&B.

Head Over Heels is youngest sister Chloe story; she has earned the reputation as a wild child by generally acting without thought and pays for it after the fact but she knows if she is going to be respected by her sisters as well as other members of Lucky Harbor then she needs to change her wayward ways especially since she has set her sights on a business opportunity she hopes to succeed.

Sheriff Sawyer Thompson lives by the book and works himself to the bone. He is well known and loved by all in the small town but is often tried and tempted by Chloe and her rebellious ways. He also has a past of his own that has shaped him into the person he now is.

I absolutely adored Sawyer and Chloe, she grated on his nerves time and time again but boy was there chemistry and attraction between them, I thought the way he researched her asthma was so sweet and endearing and he was certainly tolerant of her rebellious streak but still accepted her for who she was. Sawyer is everything I love in a male lead - gorgeous, intelligent, understanding and caring and Chloe’s antics are classic, I love her carefree personality.

This story took us on a journey of Chloe’s self discovery and awareness and Sawyer facing demons from his past, I enjoyed seeing them coming to terms with each of their respective troubles and getting through them – together, they complimented each other well despite their differences.

The relationship the sister’s share has gone from strength to strength, the banter that goes on between them often had me laughing out loud and it is nice to keep updated on how their respective relationships are progressing. You can also see how their close bond has grown from the first book to now.

Other secondary characters are developed perfectly; there were a few teary moments with Chloe’s best friend Lance who suffers from CF and Lucille’s antics always leave me giggling. I hope to see more of them in the next installment.

I absolutely loved everything about this amazing story, Ms Shalvis’s writing is entertaining and flows beautifully; she has a way with words that really grips you in from the very first to the last page leaving you feeling satisfied and happy.

I highly recommend this series; Jill Shalvis never disappoints and always delivers a funny, sexy, heartfelt and enjoyable romance with wonderful HEA’s.
