This weeks featured blogs: Little Red Riding
Hood and Book That Thing!
Question: Have you had a character that
disappointed you? One that you fell in love with and then “broke up” with later
on in either the series or a stand-alone book? Tell us about him or her.
(My answer contains
possible spoilers if you haven’t read The Hunger Games)
It
would have to be Gale from The Hunger
Games trilogy, I adored him, I wanted him to fight for Katniss and to let
her know how he truly felt but no such luck and I was honestly disappointed
(especially in the third book).
I
only watched the movie today & if I could have re-written the romance I
definitely would have.

Good pick! Have an awesome Friday!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read past book one because so many people told me that the rest of the series sucked. Glad to know i'm not missing anything.
ReplyDeleteNew GFC Follower. My FF.
Hopping through. Definitely Gale. I wish he stayed as great as he was in the first book.

Gale is a popular answer! I've been in Team Peeta since the first book, though. :D
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

I know what you mean. I didn't like the way things ended with Gale and that Katniss didn't even try to resolve the issue.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my My FF
Good pick - I had Gale on my post as well! I wish Gale and Katniss had tried to sort things out, at least, though I really did end up being fully Team Peeta!
ReplyDeleteTara @ Hey, Tara
I've heard this answer twice already. I only just started reading The Hunger Games and it makes me sad to hear this. :(
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
While I wasn't necessarily surprised by how things panned out for Gale, it was disappointing. Thanks for stopping by! My Follow
ReplyDeleteLove the Gale pick. I didn't like him by the end, either!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! I find that I'm in the minority regarding my dislike of the betraying, manipulating Paine, but I'm SO glad you feel the same way, lol!

I'm just going to say happy Friday and thanks for stopping by because I haven't read those books yes! So thank you also for the spoiler warning! :)
ReplyDeleteKnew a lot of people were upset with the third book for a lot of reasons. I never got around to reading them myself!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Friday Hops
Have a GREAT weekend!

I never disliked Gale, even after what happened. I just realized that he and Katniss would never happen. I actually felt a little betrayed, because it felt as if what Collins did with him wasn't what his actual character would have done, if you know what I mean.

Gale seems to be a popular answer this week. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I am an old follower!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I can see that about Gale. I still like him, I just feel sorry for him. Thanks for stopping by! New Follower
ReplyDeleteI love Gale. I did not like what happened in Mockingjay!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. I am a new follower.
Thanks for stopping by. Usually these hop questions make me thing but, for some reason (and maybe it's because I was just looking at my DNF shelf) the answer to this one came to me pretty easily.

Agreed!!! The third book killed everything for me. THanks for stopping by my FF:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by earlier!
ReplyDeleteI agree! I wanted him to be with Katniss, but he screwed that up to the point where I wish he was real so I could go punch him in the face for screwing things up in book 3. *Big Grins*

Oh so many people are taking Gale! I had more problems with Katniss! I feel like it was not his fault being so cast of in Mockingjay...
ReplyDeleteI TOTALLY get why Gale!! Great pick!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! Gale should have been more, he was definitely the weak link in that triangle.

ReplyDeleteThis is a really nice post and I would have to say I agree with you. Thank you for sharing.

This is the second time I've seen this one, can't believe I didn't think of that!! I kind of hated him after Mockingjay was over. Thanks for stopping by :)

Hmm yeah, Gale didn't do it for me at any point in the trilogy. I always like Peeta best. And well, my crush will always be Finnick lol
ReplyDeleteI was always a Peeta fan. Sweet devoted boy. Maybe that's just wishful thinking! Never cared enough about Gale to be disappointed.
ReplyDeleteMy follow friday
Good choice! I'm a total Peeta girl, but I tried to love Gale too but it just didn't happen!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog! I'm a new GFC follower :)

I've seen lots of answers for both Gale and Peeta today. I agree. I wanted Gale to at least tell her he loved her and tell her to pick him. But he gave up. I guess he knew she wouldn't forgive him but maybe she would have.
ReplyDeleteGFC follower.

Hope you have a lovely week!! I'm late because I was sick, sorry it's late!:)
ReplyDeleteHi! Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day. :)
ReplyDeleteI've only read the first book in The Hunger Games trilogy so I don't have much of an opinion on Gale but I've seen his name crop up a few times this week! It's a shame that he ends up bad as I had hopes for him after Peeta didn't do it for me in the first book.
I totally agree about Gale!
ReplyDeleteSorry for my late reply! Thank you for hopping by for FF!
Sorry for the late reply!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read the third book because I've heard of so many bad reviews about it and I wouldn't want to spoil my mood considering HG movies was just around the corner at that time, but although I'm Team Peeta, I was hoping for more action from Gale though.
Happy Belated Friday! Thanks for stopping by my blog :)
