Synopsis.
(Goodreads)
Madison Daniels has worshipped her
brother's best friend since they were kids. Everyone thinks she and Chase
Gamble would make the perfect couple, but there are two major flaws in their
logic. 1) Chase has sworn off relationships of any kind, and 2) after blurring
the line between friends and lovers for one night four years ago, they can't
stop bickering.
Forced together for her brother's wedding getaway, Chase and Madison decide to call a truce for the happy couple. Except all bets are off when they're forced to shack up in a tacky 70’s honeymoon suite and survive a multitude of "accidents" as the family tries to prove their "spark" can be used than for more than fighting. That is, if they don't strangle each other first…

REVIEW: 5 out of 5 stars
Tempting
the Best Man was kindly provided to me by Entangled Publishing Indulgence.
I am a HUGE Jennifer L. Armentrout fan so when I
found out she was releasing a contemporary romance novel under the pen name J.Lynn
it was an instant add for me and it definitely didn’t fail to disappoint.
Madison Daniels has been in love with Chase Gamble
pretty much her whole life but she has always been his best friends little
sister, someone he looked out for, protected and treated like a sister of his
own until a night at one of his clubs where he regrettably made a move on her
and therefor changed their carefree relationship.
Maddie’s brother is getting married, she is the
Maid of Honor and Chase the Best Man so they were inevitably about to be thrown
together but when they arrive at the venue there is only one room available and
they are forced to share, not an easy task when they had been tip-toeing around
each other for so long.
You could tell from the very onset that the chemistry
and attraction shared between Maddie and Chase was strong but they played
around one another and never made a move, for reasons each of their own but
when they finally did come together there were so many mixed emotions, feelings
hurt and miscommunications that it wasn’t going to be an easy ride for them.
I adored these two characters; they were the
perfect match but she didn’t want a broken heart and he could never see himself
in a long term relationship especially with Maddie who he saw as being off
limits. Chase in particular was reluctant to get involved because of his
fathers infidelities, he felt he would turn out exactly like him which was
quite sad but everyone around them knew they would make the perfect match and
pushed them in any way they could.
When I get so used to loving a series and author
and they move to a different genre I must admit to feeling the nerves but
Oh.My.Gosh! Ms Lynn/Armentrout is truly amazing; she is brilliant with her YA
novels but just as good in Adult Romance; I absolutely loved this book - the
characters, setting, plot was perfect for me and boy were those smexy scenes
written well.
Tempting
the Best Man is a funny, light, humorous and romantic story which follows a trope
I have come to love – friends to lovers. I really hope Ms Lynn decides to make
this a series and write about Chase’s cheeky brothers.
I was a little interested in this one, but I passed on it. And now I am kicking myself (hard!) for not getting this! I did not know it was by Jennifer Armentrout, I've heard amazing things about her writing. This book sounds like it was a lot of fun, and it was nice and short too. I'll have to look into it again. Great review
